Picture this: You work in the luxury space and primarily meet potential contacts at events around the world. You’re mingling with a dream client and you know you’ve made a great first impression. They ask to connect on LinkedIn and your stomach drops. You know your profile doesn’t reflect the level of professionalism you bring to your job every day.
This is the exact scenario Antoine shared with me when he arrived at our UpTown Waterloo studio today. He knows he’s outgrown his current LinkedIn profile. He also knows his headshot is the first thing that needs some love. When he pulled up his profile to show me, he pointed out the lack of connection in his headshot. The image shows him at a speaking event but doesn’t really showcase his polish and professionalism. And it definitely doesn’t connect with the luxury clients he is working with.

After discussing how he wanted to use his headshot, we decided to shoot both an editorial-style headshot and a classic headshot so he could have variety to choose from. The Express Headshot session he booked included one edited headshot image, but he loved so many he ordered three more headshots. Call me biased, but I can’t blame him! He looks great in all of these, and they each have a slightly different feel!

Antoine first reached out yesterday, October 1. He was in the studio today, and his new headshots were ready for LinkedIn before 5 pm! Sometimes, the difference between an outdated first impression and one that reflects where your career is today is less than 24 hours.
Can you identify with the feeling of having a LinkedIn headshot that no longer reflects the level of professionalism you bring to the table? It’s far more common than you think – only 1% of users on LinkedIn have an up-to-date professional headshot! We’d love to help!
